Our Frans and Freja armchairs come with great midcentury credentials having been designed by Folke Ohlsson for Dux one of the best known Swedish midcentury furniture makers. They have a classic angled design balanced with a lovely sweep to the arm profile.
The frames have a sprung front, (where the whole front edge under the seat cushion is a sprung unit), which is always a sign of quality and makes this design lovely and loungy.
Fran s and Freja are available for bespoke restoration with styling and fabric of your choice. All our pieces are completely refurbished from the frame outwards, with professional expertise, using the finest quality materials and fabrics we know will age gracefully and be able to withstand modern life. These pieces feel like new whilst retaining their original design narrative and all comply to current fire retardancy regulations for domestic use as a minimum.

Our midcentury sofa and chair frames are almost exclusively from Denmark or Sweden and come with excellent design and quality provenance.
