Jakob is an earlier midcentury design with an angled frame softened by a lovely arced profile and sectioned back detailing which we love, (and which also makes for a very comfy sit).
We have refurbished Jakob using natural materials. The seat and the back, (and even the arms), have sprung units underneath which has allowed us to restore the piece using a high quality wool felt inside and a Camira wool/flax mix fabric for the upholstery. Both the materials and fabric are inherently fire retardant because of their high wool content so haven’t required any additional FR treatment.
Being able to extend the life of an excellent quality piece of furniture using natural materials, with no compromise on design or comfort, makes us very happy!!
