Designed by Georg Thams for Vejen Polstermøbelfabrik, an extremely well regarded midcentury furniture maker, Halle’s clean angled design is softened by the curve of the arm profile and the turned rosewood legs.
The sofa has a sprung front design where the whole front edge under the cushions is a sprung unit which makes for a lovely comfy sit.
We have refurbished Halle in a dark cobalt blue wool from Linwood fabrics, the cloth is made from recycled wool from the fashion industry. It’s always difficult to fully convey colour and tone in photos and we are happy to send out swatches, just drop us a line and we would be happy to pop one in the post.
Our midcentury sofa and chair frames are almost exclusively from Denmark and they come with excellent design and quality provenance.
This piece has been fully refurbished, from the frame outwards, with professional expertise, using the finest quality materials and fabrics we know will age gracefully and be able to withstand modern life. These sofas feel like new whilst retaining their original design narrative and all comply to current fire retardancy regulations for domestic use as a minimum.
