Georg is a mid century classic, designed by G Thams for Vejen Polstermøbelfabrik. The frame has a sprung front design, (where the whole front edge under the seat cushion is a sprung unit), which is always a sign of quality and makes the sofa lovely and loungy.
We have used a mid green wool with warm background tones from Abraham Moon for the new upholstery. It’s often difficult to convey the subtlety of fabric colour and tone in photos, but we are always happy to send out swatches or set up a visit if you wanted to come and try out pieces in person.
Our sofas and armchairs are imported from Denmark and come with excellent design provenance. We then fully refurbished, from the frame outwards, with professional expertise, using the finest quality materials and fabrics we know will age gracefully and be able to withstand modern life. These pieces feel like new whilst retaining their original design narrative and all comply to current fire retardancy regulations for domestic use as a minimum.
