This original Danish mid-century black leather high backed armchair is an absolute beauty, designed by Hans Olsen for CS Møbelfabrik. With that familiar Hans Olsen arm profile and clean silhouette and an angled back which makes for a lovely loungy sit. The quality of design and construction of this piece is tip top.
The armchair is available ‘sold as seen’ in its current vintage condition which is very good. The frame is solid and sturdy and the black leather upholstery is in good vintage condition, there is a little age related marking here and there and a bit of damage to the leather under one of the cushions but nothing which detracts from the piece. The seat and back cushions are feather filled and the head cushion is attached to the top of the sofa but not to the back cushion.
